Jarrett Payne left a successful career at The Boeing Company to start DreamCatchers Group Inc. because he saw a need to help companies and inventors through the challenges in maximizing and leveraging their intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, proprietary information, and even trade secrets.

At Boeing, Jarrett led numerous negotiations in technology acquisitions, intellectual property licensing, procurements, proposal reviews, sales campaigns, government contracts, and joint ventures and research and development (R&D) collaborations. He also significantly influenced intellectual property protection strategies, commercialization of intellectual property assets including clean technologies, and emerging market analysis for technology sourcing and product development. In his last position at Boeing, Jarrett was a Regional Manager, Intellectual Property Management Contracts, responsible for the Asia Pacific region. Prior assignments included developing an intellectual property acquisition strategy for Latin America and leading negotiations for the Boeing Technology Ventures in the Phantom Works division.

Jarrett owns NW Venture Law, PLLC, a Seattle, Washington based law firm which primarily represents businesses and entrepreneurs in the areas of Business/Corporate Law and Intellectual Property. As an attorney, Jarrett has counseled many clients in the area of intellectual property prosecution, licensing, and litigation. The firm has achieved a great amount of success and prides itself on its commitment to sustainability through its Sustainable Law Practice™ initiative.

Jarrett received a Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law where he focused studies in intellectual property and business/corporate law; a Master of Business Administration in Global Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management; and a Bachelor of Science in Science, Technology and Globalization from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Jarrett has international experience negotiating with customers in Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. He has lived in Europe, North America, and South America and speaks fluent English, German, and basic Portuguese.
